Do I still need this thing? Binkys are for babies!
So, we are happily progressing towards the finalization of our adoption. One more wave of paperwork arrived in the mail the other day -- luckily the forms are getting briefer. Once we get these turned in and have our final home visit (mid-November) we should hear from the court when our court date will be. It might have to be after Kyla turns 6 months, but I'm not sure about that. Regardless, we have been assured that it will be in 2007, so when family comes for the holidays we should be celebrating the official conversion of Savannah May into Kyla Gabrielle. (right now her birth certificate has her first given name...we figure that if she someday becomes a yoga instructor or a massage therapist she'll change her name back to Savannah...)
So, I looked at Kyla and told her: "we're going to keep you!!" and she smiled. Perhaps it's because I said "keep" in a super high pitched voice. Or maybe it's because she wants us to keep her. :)
