Here is a conversation I didn't imagine for myself:
Dan: Ah, she had a good poo this time.
Me: Let me see.
(although, note the context: she has been a bit constipated lately so we dread the firmer than usual "events" that usually cause pain and frustration for the little one)
You'll be glad to see there is no accompanying picture. :)

Little victories are sweet indeed!
Hi Rachel & Dan,
I just read your blog--I was so happy to hear all the updates. It sounds like things have been smooth sailing (except for sleep, that is). Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful Kyla, she is simply gorgeous. Parenthood is a wonderful and wild ride--enjoy! No worries, you'll be great parents.
Take it from me, there are many more conversations about poo (and other topics related bodily functions) in your future. Something we never expected, either :)
You'll hear from us again soon, take care and give Kyla kisses from us.
Love,
Shellie, Mike, and Claire

You guys crack me up!! You guys should be writers for "Notes from the Underbelly", a sitcom on parenthood.
Being anal, I kept track of Joshua's bodily functions and sleep periods till he was FOUR MONTHS old. I have all the data required to make a very impressive graph in Excel complete with error bars and best-fit lines with R values. Heck, we could even test hypotheses on the relationship between #1 and #2 functions.
The point is... if I were there, I would want to see too.
Grace
